Stage Fright!
Recently, I have been asked a very nerve racking question, Are you going to audition on the voice or X factor? I answered No, I have too much stage fright to do that! But, people keep telling me, if I want to be a singer I have to have courage, and believe in myself. So I started to look at youtube for any stage fright videos. Then this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVS_LR1AoIA)  helped me and I’m getting better at not being scared to sing in front of people. This is also helping my brother. Soon, I will be playing my first “gig” or to sing karaoke at a restaurant and want to invite a friend that has stage fright, but I’m afraid she will say no, so I haven’t asked her. Anyway’s this is a really good way to get rid of stage fright and also help with it. I really hope people who have trouble with stage fright look at this and try it because it is helping me become a better singer. If you have courage you can accomplish anything even singing, stage fright, or even presentations. I also encourage people who don’t have stage fright to still try it. I hope you like it! Please try it! Thanks!

  1. This is so true! Stage fright can sometimes get the best of us; for me I just simply cannot get nervous. When I do, I completely blank out on every single detail (usually the lyrics) and I cannoy remember anything important for the life of me. The best way to avoid this is to just keep a mantra going in your head, and tell yourself that you are not nervous and take a few deep breaths- it works for me! Also, an important point to touch on- people who want to become successful in this music business need to be tough as nails. Being strong and developing a way to not be affected by what everyone says is really important. For example, so many celebrities, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Rihanna, all of them, have to deal with what the media says about them. It could be anything, they could make up something completely erroneous, or worse, expose things from their personal life. They are really good examples of just being able to shake things off (no pun intended) and get on with their life. Going into the (pop) music industry is not an easy job, you either struggle, or make it big, but you never know until you try. Most of the time, it really doesn’t matter what resources a person has available to them to make it big, it just depends on the person. Sure, the resources limit a person to a certain extent, but if they keep trying, and they gain attention from people who like their sound and charisma, they can take off from there.
